Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret

    Silver wings upon their chest
    These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret

Trained to live off natures land
Trained in combat, hand-to-hand
Men who fight by night and day
Courage peak from the Green Berets

Back at home a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her his last request

"Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret"

Members of Troop 1-3-4
Marching onward, door-to-door
Pleated skirts and epaulettes
The friendly girls of the Green Barrettes

    Merit badges on their chests
The Middle East meets the Midwest
They left behind their toys and pets
Life is hard in the Green Barrettes

Armed with Lemon Pastry Cremes
Stamped "Halal" for the Fedayeens
Redheads, blondes and a few brunettes
All brave girls of the Green Barrettes

Back at home a mother waits
Her Green Barrette just left Kuwait
Heading north, 'cross desert sand
With her Troop, skipping hand-in-hand

Save your missiles, tanks and guns
Don't send missionary nuns
No alcohol, no cigarettes
Just call the girls of the Green Barrettes

An interest search on 'parodies'. Every so often I take it in my head to click on my interests. It inevitably pays off in some fashion.
